I met Lindsay & Chaz through previous clients. I had actually shot a wedding in Lindsay's childhood home many years prior. There was an instant bond that was made which made talking and planning easier than it usually is. When I told Lindsay we needed to go epic on her engagement session, she was all about it. Lindsay reached out to me she told me she wanted to do a shoot featuring his Harley Davidson, somehow this idea morphed into me bringing my video crew and a drone.... and oh my....
We started the session riding a Harley with a drone over head and ended the session with a dirty sexy white dress, smoke bombs and wet clothes at Lake Tulloch. This place is an adventure photographer's dream. The lake's scenery contrasted perfectly with Lindsay's sunkissed skin and long (super dirty) white dress.
PRO TIP #2: In an engagement shoot, wear dresses that will catch a lot of movement in photos, stay far away from form fitting if that dress is longer than your knees!
After the session, we met back up at the diner where we got to talking and Lindsay revealed why they wanted to have the motorcycle in the photos. About a year ago, Lindsay and Chaz's best friend Alex passed away from a heart complication. They wanted to honor his life by including the motorcycle because he was a big Harley Davidson enthusiast and the person who introduced Chaz to the lifestyle. Losing their friend was a tremendous loss in their life but it inspired them not to take any day for granted and to live everyday to its fullest.
